Nauticus Slots
Let’s be honest, due its vast and expansive nature, we don’t really know what kind of treasures await us amidst the deep blue sea, but it is certainly great to imagine. Nauticus is a fresh, new casino slot from Geco Gaming that captures our open water fantasies and brings them to life across a selection of carefully crafted reels. Given that this is a Geco Gaming release, we took the plunge and gave Nauticus a try; here is what we found out.
Nuts, Bolts, and All
While the ocean-focused theme is a touch cliché, this casino slot does prove to have an awesome look to it. What sets it apart from the rest is that not many casino slots decide to go all out on their theme of choice, but Geco Gaming pulls no punches here. Within Nauticus we will be deep at sea, as the reels will allow us to look into the deep ocean while we take a seat inside a submarine. In true submarine fashion the windows are bolted on tight with metal frames, creating the interior shell of the ship.
Looking down Periscope
Adding to the overall visuals, Nauticus features an interesting selection of symbols. The common letter symbols, such as J, Q, and K have a mechanical look to them, as there are gears and pipes used to form the shape of the letter. One of our favourite parts of the game is the small detail used. One perfect example is that to the left and right of the reels, you can see numbers that are associated with their related paylines. These numbers have a gear framing them which keeps the ship theme intact. Needless to say, Nauticus fully commits to its nautical theme and should be commended for doing so.
Manning the Controls
In some games the dreaded user interface looks so out of place that it drags down a game’s visual appearance. Geco Gaming has sidestepped that land mine and brought us something bespoke for Nauticus.
This user interface won’t be like the average kind of interfaces you see out there that’s for sure. You can find it on the bottom of the screen with a background of brass, similar to that of the reels. It was made with proper planning, as there is quite literally no wasted space to be found. You can find the stake/line and total stake displays along the bottom of the screen.
To the right of that you can find the spin button and to the left of the displays, you can find the lines setting. Above the bottom displays is the auto play button and the pay table link. Overall, this user interface and related controls make Nauticus a breeze to play.
Fun Found 1,000 Metres Below the Surface
We really enjoyed playing Nauticus for a number of different reasons and we believe you will too, as while this game is a five-reel slot with twenty paylines, such paylines are not the only way you are going to win in this game. There are two wild symbols in this game. Yes, you read that correctly, two wild symbols. This will ensure some crazy shenanigans occur during the free spin round that’s for sure.
Fire the Torpedoes
Speaking of free spins, Nauticus has them in abundance. Landing three or more free spins symbols on a single spin can activate these game-boosting goodies. You will be awarded up to 20 free spins and you can win even more free spins during on top of that if you’re lucky.
From Tank to Tank
To be awarded the bonus or free spins there is a fun moment that takes place on screen, as there are two tanks, one on each side, which fill up depending on the amount of symbols you land. It can be extremely exciting to see the tank almost at the top when you only need one more symbol to get the bonus.
Nauticus Will Take You on a One-Of-A-Kind Nautical Adventure!
Nauticus is a game that taps into a cliché yet manages to avoid falling into its misgivings. Through our experience we can say that we greatly enjoyed what a solid experience Nauticus delivers, thanks to a solid execution of the theme and great gameplay mechanics. Because of this, Nauticus is a Geco Gaming releases that we are happy to promote as one worth recommending.
