Jade Heaven Slot
This video slot game by Casino Technology is an invitation to travel down the historic Silk Road, all the way to China and discover this rich and ancient culture – while having fun and winning some gold.
Ancient China as a theme has been the subject of several other slot games like Emperor's Garden and Jade Heaven is another take on a well-known and appreciated theme.
So what is new and what isn’t this time around?
Familiar Settings
As explained before, many players have already some experience with China-inspired slot games. Fans of Casino Technology creations will certainly recognize the background and general feel of the game, especially if they have played Golden Flower of Life before.
Once again, we are invited to step in the Imperial Palace and admire the richly decorated walls and floors. The colour scheme is majorly purple and gold, lit up dimly, yet elegantly. The reels are framed by blossoming cherry trees.
The music helps set up the atmosphere, as it is traditional and resolutely Chinese. It fits the theme perfectly, and players should have no trouble immersing themselves within the game’s universe.
How to Play
Jade Heaven is played on five reels and a maximum of 15 paylines. You will find all the commands you need to customize your game right at the bottom of the screen.
A good place to start is to adjust the coin value with the appropriate red button. Your total credit will be automatically adjusted as you do so. You can bet up to 30 coins on as many paylines as you like by using the commands on the left hand side. The blue Start button will set the reels into movement! Winning combinations of three or more symbols on an active payline trigger a cash reward based on the amount of your wager.
After each win, you can keep on trying out your luck with a guessing game against the computer. The stakes are high, as correctly guessing the colour of a hidden card can double your wins, and guessing its suit quadruple them! Play as many times as you dare, for the first mistake you make will end the game and your earnings will disappear forever.
The Autoplay function will disable this gambling game, but you will be able to enjoy an interrupted series of spins with the same constant wager. Sit back and enjoy the show!
Exotic, Golden Trophies
The paytable of Jade Heaven contains 11 basic symbols, which can be roughly put into two different groups.
At the bottom of the paytable, we find classic card-inspired symbols ranging from a 9 to the Ace. Their font, based on Chinese characters, makes them stand out from their usual design in other games. Their value remains low, however, but their rewards are still welcome nonetheless.
The second group of symbols is more exciting. They are directly inspired from Ancient Chinese culture, starting with two golden statues representing a Turtle and a Frog perched atop a pile of gold coins. They are followed by a majestic Tiger and the Prince and Princess of the palace, in traditional garments.
Balance of Power
The final two symbols are extra special and can spice up your game instantly! The first of them is the Emperor himself, who is not only the most valuable symbol of all but also the Wild card of Jade Heaven. He is able to substitute for any of the basic symbols listed previously, and by doing so it will double the value of the combinations it helps form.
The famous Ying and Yang symbol plays the role of the Scatter here. It triggers cash rewards regardless of its position on the reels, and also unlocks 15 Free Spins if three or more symbols appear! During the Free Spins, all wins are multiplied by three automatically.
A Beautiful Dive into Ancient Chinese History
Jade Heaven is a game for players who not only enjoy the perspective of big wins but also appreciate beautiful aesthetics and a simple gameplay. This game provides both, as well as an immersive atmosphere that is guaranteed to keep you entertained for many, many spins.
Some players will notice the relatively low number of paylines, which limits the betting possibilities. The lack of an original twist to the well-known Ancient China theme is a bit of a pity as well, even though the more than decent realisation of the game makes up for these apparent drawbacks. Don’t let it discourage you from playing a few rounds of Jade Heaven.
