Party Pigs Slots
It is time to get the party started! And not just any party, we are talking about the most epic and memorable parties you can think of.
You probably did not think those would involve pigs, but it is our job to prove you wrong. Party Pigs is a video slot game by 888 Holdings whose sole focus is on parties organised, designed, catered and attended by pigs. A unique niche market for a slot game, and one that could be worth exploring.
So if you are dying to learn more about this one-of-a-kind creation, read on our full review of Party Pigs!
Bacon-free universe
Party Pigs is simply set at a party in a nightclub, and does not provide players with many other details.
The background of the game only shows bright and colourful neon lights and the vague silhouette of what could be a stage. The reels occupy most of the game screen and do not leave much space for anything else. No animations or 3D characters either, the pigs are probably partying somewhere else at the moment.
The first impression of Party Pigs is not as festive as one could have expected from the premise of the game. Perhaps the actual fun is in the game play, which we will review in the next section.
Inclusive game play
Veteran and beginner players alike should have no difficulty finding their way around the game play of Party Pigs, as it is quite explicit and straightforward.
You will play on five reels and 20 paylines maximum, which is standard for a video slot game. Most of the commands that you will need are located below the reels, all the way at the bottom of the game screen. Use the (+) and (-) buttons to modify either the amount of your bet or the number of paylines you wish to play on. The numbered side tabs flanking the reels can also help you activate or deactivate paylines. You can bet between 0.01 and 10 credits per line, and the Bet Max shortcut is there to help you go all-in with your current settings in a single click.
Once you feel satisfied with your bet settings, simply hit the Spin button to set the reels into motion. You will collect the cash prizes corresponding to the winning combination(s) that you land on activated paylines once the reels have come to a stop. Alternatively, and if you would rather not spend too much time clicking on the Spin button, you can use the Autoplay mode by determining a number of spins to bet on in a row. Use the corresponding buttons and hope for many wins in a row!
Party on
Let’s now take a closer look at the party menu, and see what is the programme of this unique party.
Out of the 11 basic symbols on the paytable, the first five are inspired by card games and range from number 10 to the Ace. These symbols do not yield big rewards, but they are very common on the reels of Party Pigs so these smaller wins can easily add up!
The rest of the paytable dives back into the game’s quirky universe, with a golden Disco Ball, a Drum, two different Dancing Pigs and two members of the official band: a Singer and a Guitarist, both pigs of course.
Final encore before the curtain call
Finally, the two last special symbols of Party Pigs are here to close the party with a memorable finale.
The official Party Pig is the Wild card of the game, able to substitute any of the basic symbols listed above and hopefully create some extra winning combinations. As it does so, the line payout is immediately doubled. And there is even more to that symbol: five Party Pig icons on an activated payline trigger the highest reward of the game, corresponding to 10,000 times your initial bet!
Finally, the Scatter symbol pays independently of its position on the reels and awards 15 Free Spins instantly. During those free games, all payouts are additionally multiplied by three!
Unusual theme, familiar rewards
Party Pigs is original enough to catch the players’ attention just by its title and the strange universe it is set it. And once you start playing it is hard to stop, given the sizeable rewards and abundance of Free Spins that can be retriggered over and over again!
This being said, the relative lack of details in terms of graphic design in both the game itself and in the reel symbols will maybe deter players who are allergic to cartoonish games who will prefer traditional slots from this designer like 10 Times Wild.
