Astrospace Slot Machine
Getting a fuzzy blue screen isn’t what anyone wants when playing an online game, but that’s what you’re greeted by when Astrospace from 777igt loads. For a few minutes we panicked, until we realised it was part of its design. Thumbs up for creativity and execution.
As for what the game is about, that’s a lot harder to pinpoint. Sure it’s about being in space and taking on the trials that come with it, but we’re confused by the Ironman mask on the 5 reels. Ironman may be able to fly into space, albeit with difficulty, but he has nothing to do with it inherently.
Putting that niggling issue to bed for the moment, there are a lot of explosions and spaceship chases to be had when playing this slot machine, a lot of the action coming in the form of the bonus game. There’s also loads of cash to be made and fun to enjoy, so let’s blast off into the unknown and see what the universe has in store for us…
Intergalactic Shoot Out
Customers have a chance to hop into the pilot’s seat with the bonus level, all they need to do first is to get between three and five of the bonus tile, which funnily enough is the Ironman styled helmet. When this happens, you’ll be directed to shoot as many of the enemy’s ships as you can during the allotted time; simple enough.
Even though we triggered the bonus game, we never got a chance to play it, with Astrospace rewarding us a selection of coins for not doing a thing. We assume that this is something to do with us playing the demo, but either way it’s a rotten trick of diddling players out of experiencing every aspect of the game. From what we did manage to see before our go rudely came to an end, it appears that the graphics and fluidity of the feature game are both strong.
I Want to Break Free
Anything in life that is free is something we want, with the free spins symbol of this 777igt title no exception to that notion. When three or more appear, grab what you can and go! The most you can win is 15 games and the lowest is just 5. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like this can be reactivated during the bonus spins, although we could be wrong - no clear information is given, and as we didn’t manage to launch them again, we can only assume.
On top of the spins, there’s the scatter symbol, which when combined with this beauty, makes for an interesting turn of events; the scatter multipliers wins up to x100 your stake. That means that if you’ve played with the maximum bet of €50 you can stand to gain a small fortune. Even should you get the x5 lower end of the bargain, users will still see a significant rise in their funds.
Hungry for Cash
We’re always on the lookout to gain more credits and quit our day jobs, only usually it isn’t a possibility we can seriously entertain… well stand aside and prepare to be amazed, as there’s three jackpots available that can make your dreams come true.
The progressive kitties mean that you have the potential to walk away with a sum of money that’s in the five figure region, with the Mega Jackpot taking it on home with over 90,000 credits to its name. These amounts rarely seem to change, and if they do it never appears to be by much. As they’re so awesome in their size, it won’t shock you that gaining all five of the tiles is extremely difficult, which makes this part of the slot machine of the highest volatility.
Systems Error!
We’re only teasing – Astrospace, despite the obvious design flaw which we’ve harped on about most of the way through, is a fantastic game to immerse yourself in. Unlike some games which leave you on the border between flat and in-depth gaming, this slot throws you right in and takes you to the edge of space. It’s beautiful to look at and just as beautiful to play, warts and all.
