Climbing into the driver’s seat
Before you rev the engine, it’s worth knowing a few things about this game. As stated, you can bet a minimum of 0.01 and a maximum of 50 credits per spin. As such, the game should appeal to low rollers as well as high.
The look of the slot itself is pretty cool, as the control panel is designed to resemble a central console in a car, with hands gripping the wheel in the lower left-hand corner. To the right of the wheel, you’ll find tabs for Total Win and Total Stake. The Play button is where you can spin the reels, and is located in the bottom right-hand corner. The Paytable tab, meanwhile, is in the lower left-hand corner, positioned directly upon the steering wheel. Access it to show your potential winnings for each combination. You can also hover your cursor over any of the game’s symbols to view the icon’s related pay-outs.
The goal, as ever, is to match combinations of three, four or five symbols, starting from left to right. Any symbols that constitute a win will then flash and your account will be credited.
Rolling on dubs
As you might expect, the symbols in Jackpot GT Race to Vegas are related to driving. That said, there’s still room for playing card icons, which nonetheless eschew suits in favour of glossy bubble letters. Other symbols include a scorpion, a timer, a Las Vegas sign, a muscle car, a roulette wheel and a Jackpot GT game logo, which acts as the wild. This latter icon can thus replace all symbols in the game to help you form winning combinations. The wild can also appear stacked in the base game and during free spins.
While the best pay-out you can hope for from the playing cards is 100 for five Aces, you can win 150 for five scorpions of 200 for five timers. You can also win 250 for five roulette wheels, 350 for five muscle cars or 500 for five Las Vegas signs. Five wilds also pays 500. Unlike the other icons though, wilds only pay-out in combinations of five.
As well as a wild, the game includes two scatters. The first is the one of a brand-new tyre. Simply land three of these on reels one, three and five. When you do, an additional row of symbols will be added to the top of the reels, increasing the grid from 5x3 to 5x4. The number of free spins awarded is always ten, and the feature cannot re-trigger.
The second scatter is of a speedometer. Land three, four or five to win up to 1,000x your total stake. It’s also possible to get this feature in the same spin as the driving bonus feature. If so, the mini-game will come second.
Race to Vegas
The Race to Vegas mini-game is activated by landing the mysterious male scatter on reel one, and the female scatter on reel five. Your task is to pilot the car and make it to Sin City in the allotted time. En route, you’ll have the opportunity to grab coloured bonuses. Red equals cash, blue means extra time and green grants a mystery award. Simply steer the vehicle towards each to grab them. Alternatively, hit Auto Race and relax.
If you make it to Vegas in time, you’ll get to play one spin on a Sevens slot. This is where you can scoop the progressive jackpot by hitting three gold 7s.
A podium finish
Jackpot GT Race to Vegas is a remarkable video slot. With a wealth of features, the game is fast-paced and enjoyable. The chance to bag a progressive jackpot only made us love it all the more. This is one of Ash Gaming's more random titles, along with games such as Cash Blox, personally, we'd like to see more of them!
