Crazy Goose Slots
Ainsworth love their farmyard animals. From the same software company who brought you Barnyard Bonanza, say hello to Crazy Goose. Its protagonist is – that’s right – a piece of poultry who’s more than just a little loco. She’s cray cray, but she’s also a loveable scamp.
The Os in the Crazy Goose logo that is emblazoned across the top of the screen in metallic purple letters are filled in by the goose’s crossed eyes, each of which swivels amusingly. It’s just one of a series of comical touches that will surface as you play.
The 5-reel slot, which has been optimised for mobile as well as desktop, plays like a dream with cool animation and a gorgeous colour palette.
Mega Goose Is Mega
The object of the game is to trigger Mega Goose. That’s where the mega money lies, but there are also other ways to scoop a tidy sum, from matching the golden egg symbols to scoring the spin again multiplier and matching regular playing symbols in 3s or higher. We’ll get to the value of the playing symbols in a moment, but first let’s cover the basic controls.
Hitting space bar (if you’re on desktop) or the start button will activate the reels, with the start symbol denoted by a pair of circular interlocking arrows. The plus symbol alongside it opens the autoplay controls where you can set a loss limit and dictate the number of hands the machine will play. The gear symbol to the far left controls the audio, bet level and number of lines. With the ability to set the bet anywhere from €0.01 to €100, Crazy Goose is one of the most versatile games on the market. Play conservatively or make like a whale – it’s your call. The number of lines can be set anywhere from 1 to 100. That’s right – 100 lines.
It’s an Animal Adventure
As the reels shudder to a halt, you’ll be greeted by the sounds of the farmyard. Score three cockerels on an active payline and you’ll hear them crow, while goats baa, the sheepdog barks and all the other creatures make the sounds you’d generally expect of them. The lowest value symbols, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, aren’t much to look at and aren’t worth a whole lot; with a minimum bet level, 5 matching symbols are worth a mere €0.05.
To illustrate the extremes this game can be set at however, with the bet level at €100 the same 5 symbols are worth €1,000. At the top end of the spectrum (maximum bet and maximum value symbol), 5 golden eggs are worth €1,000,000. That’s correct: 6 zeroes, making for a life-changing one million.
Realistically, you’re not going to chuck a couple of hundred into Crazy Goose and walk off with a jackpot of that stature... then again, stranger things have happened, like geese laying golden eggs.
Aside from the comical expression on its face, it’s hard to tell exactly why this goose has been labelled as crazy. Does she peck the postie? Bark like a sheepdog? Or is it simply the colour and rarity of her eggs that’s caused her to be written off as cray?
Crazy Money
Unusually, Crazy Goose has two scatter symbols: a regular egg basket and a special edition one, overlaid with the word WILD. The wild egg basket will substitute for any of the regular playing symbols. There’s also the crazy goose symbol which, as promised, triggers Mega Goose and mega wins. Matching 3 or more golden egg symbols will trigger at least 9 free games. Keep notching up 3 or more animal symbols, meanwhile, to top up your pot and fuel your quest for bigger prizes. Crazy Goose isn’t crazy – she’s one of the smartest slots on the market, and if you know what’s good for you, you’ll give this juicy goose a spin.
