Aliens Z Slot
Guess what’s back, back again? Aliens are back, tell a friend. 777igt have once again opted for a sci-fi rich theme with Aliens Z, arguably the new and improved version of Aliens Ozone.
Instead of only delivering 25 winlines of fun, this title ups the amount to 50, making more opportunities for you guys to win. The 5 reels have stayed, though, which means you won’t feel too out of place.
The aesthetics are identical in a lot of respects, with only the symbols looking different, and even then the iconography adheres to the rules of sci-fi and thus gives us something already seen before. Basically, originality is dead. Sadly, it only goes from bad to worse when you take a closer look at the dynamics of the game, as the brand has left everything the same: the same bonuses, the same jackpots, the same level of payouts.
If you can see past all that and simply appreciate the game for simply existing, then this review is going to be a very handy guide. However, if you’ve already seen enough and feel annoyed, it’s best you wait for one of our other reviews to come along.
Progressive Winnings
We love seeing that a game has a progressive jackpot, for it means we have a chance to always get a different (and bigger) sum of money each time we play. Furthermore, because this type of payout is often split into sections, it means we stand a higher chance of unlocking one of the amounts.
In Aliens Z you have three tiers of jackpot to grab, each of them named (as they always are) as the Minor, Mini, and Mega. The Minor prize is the middle bundle of cash and it will deliver €51,000 plus credits should you get it, while the Mini only gives €30,749, which is still ridiculously generous. However, these two pale in comparison to the ginormous ego of the Mega jackpot, as it lands on our reels playing to the tune of €92,249.65.
Five of each symbol need to not only be found, but play from left to right for the jackpot to be triggered, with no breaks in the winline.
We Come in Peace
The wild is the most traditional looking of all the extraterrestrials here, with its giant black eyes and grey skin; it’s the most universally recognised image of alien lifeforms. Customers will always need five of the tiles for the effects of the wild to occur, which is to sub symbols that can be removed, and to give users a x150 prize.
Despite having no authority over the free spins, scatter, bonus and jackpot icons, the wild can still move about and change the remaining eight, which means it has a lot of room to manoeuver and thus payout many coins.
The card values marked 10 to A are all the lower value icons, playing out no more than x100 of your bet when you find five of them. This would naturally make us assume that the amount from the special symbols must be higher, but in fact the maximum to be scored is only ever x200, which seems quite low.
An Exchange
You can exchange your currency for theirs, when playing for cash, changing a bet of €0.01 per line into a stake of 0.25 credits. Users can also sacrifice their manual gameplay for that of automatic, and intermittently go between the two whenever they want; though you’ll always have to select the main spin button to play any game, manual or not.
As for the winlines, you can decrease them to no lower than 10, a restriction that we actually favour because it encourages new users to get to grips with a larger game. Playing with the highest amount of lines is always preferable, but if you should have to lower the amount, 10 is the next best thing.
A Special Friendship?
We doubt you’ll make any real headway with Aliens Z, as it’s not a game that many of you will want to cosy up with too often when a gaming rutt strikes; it just doesn’t have the presence to maintain prolonged interest.
